Dr. Colin J. Stanhope is a highly skilled oral and maxillofacial surgeon with extensive training in both dentistry and medicine. A Maryland native, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry before completing a rigorous six-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. During this time, he also achieved his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, completed a year in general surgery and served as the elected Chief Resident of the OMFS department in his final year. Dr. Stanhope has continued his relationship with the University where he serves as part time faculty teaching oral surgery residents as well as dental students.
Dr. Stanhope’s expertise encompasses the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, from routine procedures to highly complex surgical cases and maintains surgical privileges at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Dr. Stanhope is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons (ABOMS), member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) as well as an active member of Maryland Society of OMS, Middle atlantic society OMS and the Maryland State Dental Association reflecting his ongoing commitment to professional excellence. Passionate about service, he has also provided care through Mission of Mercy, offering oral surgery and cancer screenings to underserved communities in Maryland. Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Stanhope enjoys living an active lifestyle and is a certified personal trainer, open water scuba diver and fisherman. His dedication to patient care, advanced surgical skill, and compassionate approach make him an exceptional part of our team at Integrative Dental Wellness.
